He rolled under water in laughter. Never in his wildest dreams would he see a mare do that. He danced out of the water. His cage heaved heavily and nares flared. It was always exhausting fighting against the current and took a lot out of him. But he was a hardy one and beat the exhaustion. He shook, excess water flung from his soaked hide. His front hoof pawed the red earth, he was in need of some more fun. ~"Dove what is your ida of fun and let us give it a try!"~ He danced anciliy. Was this stallion ever tired?

Dove's ears perked. She turned her head to the direction of the mountains, and gave a neigh. "Come! Follow me!" She gave a joyful buck and began galloping, her hooves slamming against the rock, soon onto a padding of grasses. The mountains seemed to tower over the land, keeping an eye out with it's eerie presence. The mare gave a leap, and landed with ease on the now steeply climbing hill. She was now high up, waiting for the Arabian stallion to reach her location.

Chocolate orbs followed the path to the towers of earth. Dauntless sighed content, yes they happened to be the perfect match. His limbs stretched forward and he raced across the land. His daggers dug into the earth and kicked loose rock as he climbed the side of the moutain. His boa arched as he collected into a rocky canter. Then as the rocks grew larger he leapt from one rock to another. The orange faded into a blue gray and Dauntless left his "Kingdom" entering a new land. The delicate harks that rested upon his fine crown swiveled as the sound of rictocheting(sp?) hooves rung in his ears. Quite an unfamiliar sound. He was used to the thumping and thundering of only his hooves pounding against dirt and canyon rock. As Dauntless reached the peak he starred out over the land. The light land was soon going to be his. But seeing the land reminded him of something... *'The Light King position won't be open forever.'* It pushed him back to reality he needed to claim Dove to be able to reach the Hiearchy. But he did not wish to force the beauty. Not wishing to make a fool of himself he kept quite. He would let dove tell him that she loved him, then Dauntless would claim her. A nip on the shoulder wasn't as easy as he thought it would be.

Soon, the mare came to a quick halt, her hooves kicking rocks over the cliff she stood inches away from. Below, the faint splash was barely heard over the loud roaring of a waterfall. She reared, appearing from down below only a picture you could ever see in your dreams. She lowered, dancing in place from the misty air that gave her the wild feeling. Looking behind her, she saw Dauntless. With a leap, she was falling. the small like pond that the waterfall fell into was a ways down. Her feathers gracefully waved through the air, and soon, a huge splash came. The Gypsy had been completely covered in water. Her head reached the surface, and she swam into the waterfall, now being completely hidden from the rushing water. Inside, was a cave like structure. It was bright, but no where could be seen that the light was coming from. There was sand, and then at the back, which was about 20 feet back, held tall, lush grasses. Dove let out a neigh, wondering if Dauntless could hear it from up above, past the raging falling water.

Dauntless climbed up a side of a cliff. A watering hole stood stiill and was the source of the waterfall. The bay plunged into the bone chilling water and let the current pull him down the waterfall. He slid on his rump down the cliff of which the water cascaded. A whinny mixed with fear and excitment escaped from him as he neared the water. He leapt forward into the water. A splash large for his size followed. Millions of water droplets misted in the air. They sprinkled his black banner and crown. He shook his forelock draped over his wild eyes. He entered the veil of mist and then the thrashing water pounded on his back. He entered the cave but couldn't see a thing the water had pushed his forelock back over his orbHis hooves touched sand and he pranced onto shore. He shook out the water and removed his tangly mess from his vision.

Dove gave a loud nicker. She trotted over to the stallion, giving him a playful nip to show him her presence. A small buck, and she prance circles in the small, quiet yet beautiful area. Moss grew on the side of the black stone, with flowers of all colors weaving their way through. The beach-like feeling made he sigh happily. She looked over at Dauntless. Smiling, she thought he was the one. The one she had waited so long for. The one that shall sit with her on the throne of the royal lights. As she daydreamed, he eyelids closed slightly, as a girl would when she had caught sight of her true love.

He nickered a warm nicker in return. It was low and echoed off the walls of the cave. He nipped back in return. Shifting uneasily he sighed, what next? He'd feel like a dork if he told her he loved her but she only liked him as a friend. His dreams of being king crashed. Only love could repair it. Maybe he could take on king by himself. Nah, that is such a silly idea. He bit his lower lip. ~"Care to race the eagles with me?"~ He alomst slammed himself against the wall, such a random thing to say and maybe at the wrong time. He stood there and closed his eyes as tight as he could. Only dare to peak if she said yes.

Dove gave a small laugh. "Surely I would," She galloped full speed to the water fall, jumping into it, and plunging out on the other side, making the still water away from the fall break, like a clear glass shattering. She swam to the edge, emerging, and shaking off the water. She trotted circles, waiting for Dauntless. Biting her lip, she wanted to tell him she loved him. But, what if he didn't? She didn't know when the right time would come, but it had to be soon. The sun was setting. "Before nightfall," she assured herself. Standing square, she attempted to gain the courage.

Dauntless reared onto his haunches, pawing the air with black daggers, slicing the air. A cocky smile sat upon his lips. He loved to race the eagles. He bolted forward slicing through the waterfall. It was almost as if someone put him on fast forward. He reared in a small circle and leapt forward. He raced across the land. His limbs a large bay blur, his mane and tail were almostone with the wind waving wildly like a banner of freedom. ~"Let's go..."~ He whispered words of encouragment to himself. He skidded on his heels and neighed to Billy who was perched upon a branch. The eagle sqwuaked and fluttered his wings. He took flight and raced against the stallion. The eagle soon stopped as he knew he was no match for the stallion who was already several hundred yards ahead of him. Dauntless whinnied proudly lifting his head to the sky.

Dove watched as the two beautiful creatures set of against each other, racing freely. She bucked and called to the heavens, rearing up into the air. She bolted foreward, head held high, mane and tail dancing like ember flames with the wind. She tossed her head, Weaving through small trees, and She took a few quick turns, ending up upon a tall hill. Shall she scream the truth? Would it ruin the excitement, and come to anger? She said the words soflty, then growing louder and prouder, standing boldly as she did so.

Dauntless heard a faint noise in the background but ignored it. He smiled at Billy and pulled on his feathers playfully. Billy in return yanked on his mane and squiled. Lighting gave a challenge call. He was the fastest of all creatures that roamed on the West. He had watched Dauntless improve over the past few years and decided he was ready enough to race him. He glided towards Dauntless and screamed signaling it was time to race. Dauntless grinned evily and bolted forward lengthing each stride. He soared over the land and was ahead of the great eagle. The eagle was shocked and beated his wings hareder. They were neck to neck. But Dauntless pushed the last of his energy into the final strides and zoomed passed the finish line. He threw himself in the air. The crown of the fastest creature of the West was now his! If the mare didn't love him at least he still had something to be proud of!

The mare went galloping down the hillside, ripping up any ground beneath her hooves. She bucked happily, slowing near Dauntless, out of reaction giving him a soft nudge on his cheek. She felt her face beginning to get hot, as she smiled. "You have won!" She gave a buck in joy. The mare looked around surely there was something she had a skill for. Forgetting about it, she turned her gaze back to Dauntless, her icy blue eyes shining brightly.

All the emotion of his face flushed. He whipped himself with his tail. ~"Get back to reality! Ergh!"~ He groaned to himself. Lightining swooped down and placed a crown utop his head. Dauntless flashed a smile. He nuzzled Dove's neck. ooc~ Wrighter's block.

The Gypsy knew it was now time. She turned, her shoulder sticking out into Dauntless' direction. She knew this was how they did it, so she was sure he'd know the sign. Looking at him with her kind eyes, she smiled as she waited. Her large draft-body now dry from her exciting swims. Flicking her tail casually, she dipped her nose, and perked her ears. She wasn't a usual mare. Much more intelligent. She shook her head at the thought of the regular, moody kind. Then realizing what she was doing, Dove turned her attention back to Dauntless.
