She gave a long sigh. The valley was quiet, and no creature yet awake. Only her. The mare gave a bow of her head, and flicked her tail. She knew that no one was going to wonder where she was any time soon, or so she thought. A quick, sudden bolt, and she was running with the wind, feet picking up high, neck arched, with the morning dew sparkling her path. She cleared the stream with a small jump, and began towards the forest. It was dark, and held a quiet, eerie presence within it. As she entered, she slowed, icy blue eyes adjusting to the darkness. When they finally matched the darkness, she found her trail. Stepping over logs that had fallen from the storm last night, she finally made her way to a clearing, found in the middle of the forest. The lighted, misty scenery, with small flowers that had picked up with the wind softly landing down. The area was guarded with trees, making it very private all around. The only area that could reveal its secrets was the large hole above, making the light shine through. The Gypsy was alone, and unsure of what to do next.

The stallion slowed as he entered the water. Where had everyone gone? He peeked through the waterfall and no one was there. He let out a nicker to let them know where he was. ~"Dooove Faaaaate where are youuuu?"~ His voice was meledious and childish. It sounded as if he were playing hide and seek and he was it He pawed the ground impatiently, where were they?

Her ears flicked slightly. She heard the call, and gave a responce. Such a loud, melodious scream came from her, that it woke the sleeping valley, the wind moaning from the noise. Echoes played with the call that swept through them, and birds flew out of the trees, disturbed. It could be heard past the canyon, to the other valley. She was finally noticed! A nicker, and she began to walk out of the small forest area.

The harks swiveled searching for a reply. No, no response, not even a whimper. Dauntless' head drooped just like a flower would wilt. But a faint reply rung through the land. His ears pricked forward, along with head shooting up. He danced in place and whinnied. Boa arched and then he tossed his head, kicking out with his hind legs. He reared and leapt forward. Dauntless galloped towards the reply of Dove. Black hooves pounded the orange dirt of the canyon, kicking up dust leaving a trail streaming behind him. He rounded rocky bends, jumped streams, swam across the Colorado. How far had she gone? But he still kept pushing. As a hoof touched land he jumped out and then contiued to run.

Sure-footed hooves stepped in the darkness of the forest. Very little light was visable. Ducking her head from the arch of branches, a huge beam of light shone down on her. She exited the forest. Distances away she saw the same bay stallion whom she loved. A nicker, and a rear with her presence, the gypsy began at a trot towards Dauntless, glad to be noticed. "Why, hello there, stranger!" she greeted, giving a playful tug on his mane.

~"Ahh stranger danger!!! Stranger Danger!!!"~ Dauntless spooked back wards and laughed. He then too gave a playful tug of mane. ~"Why are you out here? It's eerie..."~ He shivered nervously as he stood there. he knew anything could jump out and attack him. But he was a King and no one dared law anything upon him. So he stood tall not pride but to make him self assured.

She stood tall. "It's peaceful, I enjoy it when I'm alone, or even with others" The fog which was lurking around the valley began to disappear, and the sun was now at it's highest. A flick of her tail, and she nipped at Dauntless, before trotting off towards the canyon, ears flicking in his direction to listen for his reaction.

Fate, who had been watching the scene before her play out watched dauntless gallop away. suddenly she felt powerfully lonely. it reminded her of the first few days after she had been banished. she hung her head low, not even bothering to call after dauntless. then Trev came back into her mind. she felt horrible for leaving him by himself. she reared and gave a scream. Not bothering to wait for a reply she turned on her heels and galloped full speed out of the valley. she didn't stop running until she reached the valley where she had meat Trev. she looked around for him. not seeing him she called out Treeeeeeeeeeeeev. where are you Trev? please talk to me

Trev stood still, Denied. Never again would he let his brother near him. He had just stole his mare. His one chance and yet Dauntless blew it. Bummed, he drooped his head and laid down, depressed. His eyes fluttered and then slowly closed and he fell into a deep sleep. in his dream Fate trotted around searching for him. It was as if it were real, he could almost hear her yelling for him. But it was real. Still thinking it was a dream he did not respond.

She broke out into a collected canter, veering left as she past the canyon. Wild flowers of every color scattered the area. The mare walked proudly through the bright, fragrant path. Her queen-like actions faded, and she pawed, laying down, and rolling in the soft, delightful smelling plants. Standing up, she began prancing towards the center of the valley, kicking her hooves up and arching her thick, muscular neck. Her painted sides shone brightly, with her dapples dancing happily in the sun's rays.

Dauntless shifted uneasily. Alone... ;such a strong word; alone he was, alone in the deep depth of the dark forrest. He shifted his weigh and boled outwards as fast as he could. His heart pounding like a drum signaling his every stride. He could hear his own heart beating. Broad sunlight stretched for miles and he rolled happily. ~"Light, sweet sweet light!!!"~ He pranced, and danced.

Flicking her tail, she stood, watching as the time went by for when Dauntless would appear. The soft, romantic feel of the flowers made her relax, as she continued to watch as the sun was beginnning to fade back over the mountains.

Fate reappered in the valley as if nothing had happened. she was pround of herself for standing up to trev but her heart stung. she had been rejected yet again. she dropped her head to graze and the sadnness welled inside her. she felt all alone as of no stallion would ever care for her. she looked at dauntless and dove and her heart hurt more. she walked over to the water and wadex in,trying to wash away the sadness
