Royal daggers sliced into the earth of the West kicking up dust. An eerie cloud of canyon dust formed as the King roamed 'His Lands.' His crown was held high showing great pride, atop his crest delicate harks swiveled in every direction listening to his land. Nares flared, cage heaved, black majestic banners sailed, boa arched, and limbs stretching further with every stride. Signs only a royal possesed. A low meledious whinny of claim escaped from him, this land was his. He glanced over at his lady. A happy couple they were. He vowed to her, ~*~"Dove, I take you as my 'Queen' we will be two lovers. We will love each other to the end. No mare could ever replace her love with yours." He vowed and crowned Dove as his 'Queen.' "We shall claim land together, fight together, be two united as one. We will fight to the end to protect one another. Do you accept to be my queen?"~*~ His eyes bruned with love and you could surely tell he was in deep love with the mare.

Hooves slammed into the earth, making dust form at the back of her travels. Tail raised, icy eyes alert, she thundered the earth beside her king. Her delicate ears foreward, as she listened to the songs of her claimed land. Her mane and banner streamed outward, dancing with the wind's movements. She let out a scream to the heavens, reminding them who owned these lands. A buck emerged, and she replied to the stallion. " O, dear Dauntless. I take you as my king. I shall love you as no other mare could ever. We shall stay together, each day and night, till the end of eternity. I shall fight by your side, claim land together, and our royalty shall triumph. I accept to be queen, as well you accept king." She tossed her head, each word she spoke easily seen that it was truthfull. Not one word a lie. Another call emerged from her muzzle, and she lengthened each stride, muscles rippling, and her nostrils flared. She was queen.

~"If King you want King I shall be!" ~ His voice echoed off the canyon walls letting everyone know who was King. He thundered through the Canyon maiking known his presence. The sweet symphany of birds stopped singing, the mourning cry of coyotes stopped howling, the sweet hush whispers of the winds faded, and the branches made no attempt to rattle their branches in greeting to the sun's glorious rays. Only the thundering hoovees of the Royals could be heard. The rays shone on the pelt of King And Queen proving their glory. Ascending up a cliff Dauntless reared and let out a threatining call. No one would dare enter the Kingdom without permision.

She slowed, jumping up upon the steep rocky canyons, stair-like path. The sun shone brightly on her pelt, making the white appear most out of the original earthy colors of red, greens, and browns. Her long mane waving outwards, rippling like the rushing stream below. Strong, sturdy hooves etched into the chalk-like rock, creating a brownish red dust that blew away with a lift of her dagger. Dapples dance upon her black splashed sides, shining brightly and proudly. She called to the mountains and valleys, to the forest and heaven above. She is now to do the job that Mother Nature has bestowed onto her. The climbing of chalk-rock ended, and a flat tower of carved of stone was now under this beautiful equine. Inches away from the cliff, she reared, feathers floating with every slashing movement. Lowering, her arched neck, she stood like a queen, royal and beautiful. On the opposite side of her location was the king, and she smiled, giving him a warm nicker in greeting.

A swift gust blew the black banners of the stallion whipping the air. He paid no attention to the nicker he was in his own world admiring the scenery of their land. Dauntless descended down the cliff and sniffed at the cactus blooms. The smell of other equines blended in with the air that flooded the nares of Dauntless. He pawed the orange dust kicking up a small sand storm. The eagles raced above, gliding. Dauntless sent out a call to them. A screech replied, it rung in Dauntless' ears giving him a sense of freedom. He reared, black daggers slicing air full of chalky red dust. He leapt forward onto stiff legs and kicked his hind legs out sideways throwing his head up to the sky letting out a song of pride.

She watched as the stallion galloped down the cliff, doing as he pleased to do. The smile faded, and she watched the land herself, standing proud and bold. With a quick, sudden turn on her haunches, she let out a scream, galloping down the steep path that eroded with her every step. Tail trailing out behind her, she came to the flat area, galloping out of sight around the cliff. As she galloped alone, her icy eyes watched the land she owned. The eagles flew high, and the nature sang freely to its own tune of water rippling and wind dancing. She made her way through the center of the valley, swirving to her left into a thick layer of trees. As she weaved through the forest, she came upon a clearing, with held a pond with a small waterfall-like structure leading inside of it, and then narrowing back into a shallow creek. She sighed. Walking into the waters, the coolness made her relax.

Now that they had claimed their land what were they supposed to do now?! Horses... That was the first thing that came to his mind, to be a powerful leader you needed a herd. ~"Dove! Dove!"~ His head turned left and right looking for his queen. Where had she gone to? He whinnied letting her know where he was.

Soon her icy orbs opened. She heard her King calling her. She bolted out of the pond, and quickly braided through the trees, like a pole bending trained horse would. She shot out of the forest, muscles bulging, mane streaming out behind her. She arched her neck, lengthening each stride. The tall grasses tickled and played around her painted legs. Tail straight in the air, she rounded the towering canyon, soon coming back to the original valley she stayed. A reply came from her, and she slowed to a prance, passing Dauntless and circling him, coming to a halt. "Yes, my Dauntless?" She questioned him, eyes curious.

~"Now that we have claimed our land and settled in let us find ourselves some herd members let us go back to the original valley where we met."~ He tossed his mane in a flirty way and flashed a stunning smile at Dove.

She let out a low nicker, and gave a nip playfully at him, before taking off at a gallop towards the direction of the valley. The wind whipped through her mane and tail, and she bucked happily. The mare was free, with her and her king. She slowed, waiting for him as her large, heavy draft-body made its way across the land.

Dauntless gave a buck and chased after Dove. Teeth reached for the streaming tail. He bit on it and pulled her back, and stretching his limbs further. A snarl came from deep within the forrest he galloped side by side. A gasp escaped him as a bear clashed outwards from the trees, tearing down anything in it's path. It stopped and starred at Dauntless with deep black eyes. In his left hand he cletched a honey hive and honey was all over the black fur placed upon his chest. He dropped the hive and laid on it barring fangs and hissing. He then struck the air with black claws.

Fate, who was just behind dauntless, stopped dead in her tracks. she had never seen anything like this in her five years on this planet. every fiber of her being told her to run yet her limbs felt as if they were made of concrete. she ended up just standing, gazing up at the beast that blocked their path

Dove felt the tug, and she slowed. She saw as the enormous creature stood just infront of her. A pinning of her ears came, and her eyes narrowed. A threatening scream came from her, as she struk the earth, watching the deadly creature.

Fate glanced back and forth between dove and the bear. it looked like dove was about to attack the creature. "dove please don't attack. it is not worth it. that creature could tear you to shreds." with that she looked at dove pleadingly hoping she would take her advice
